“Life can be worrying!” says insurance company
What are you worrying about? According to recent research, apparently quite a lot:
Worrying costs us a month’s sleep a year
THE stresses of modern life mean we waste a month every year tossing and turning in bed trying to sleep, a study reveals.
Nearly two in three Britons lose two hours of sleep each night worrying – 730 wasted hours, or 30 days, each year.
Stressing about work (34 per cent) and money (33 per cent) are the two main concerns that keep us awake.

With so much of our lives given over to worry, it’s a shame there’s not something we can do to provide ourselves with a safety net, to take some of our worries away.
One in five cannot get a good night’s sleep because of his or her partner’s snoring, say insurers Direct Line, who quizzed 2,000 people on their sleeping habits.
Come to think of it, maybe an insurance company might have some thoughts on how we can stop ourselves worrying about things going wrong, or what we’ll do when things go wrong, or who we can turn to when things go wrong.
“Men and women drive differently!” says car insurer
The driving skills at which women outdo men… hand gestures and swearing: Half use foul language when they are behind the wheel
The debate over whether women are better drivers than men is likely to rage for a long time to come.
However, there is one area behind the wheel where they certainly appear to come out on top – although it’s nothing to be proud of.
According to a report, the fairer sex is more likely to swear while out on the road.

Who commissioned this study?
The study, for Direct Line, revealed the younger generation were far more likely to use expletives than the older generation.
That would be Direct Line, the insurers, reminding you they exist.
