“You look exhausted – you should take a break!” says private health spa
12% of Britons feel ‘utterly exhausted’ all of the time – with twice as many women suffering as men
More than one in ten Britons say they feel utterly exhausted, according to a new study.
The survey also revealed 53 per cent of people are continuously tired and 41 per cent sometimes feel exhausted.
This is thought to be because people are so stressed they are unable to sleep.
The poll also found that women are twice as likely to feel utterly exhausted as men – 15 per cent of women say they feel utterly exhausted, compared to eight per cent of men.
Stress and exhaustion are no laughing matter, and with such a high percentage of the population suffering from the effects of both, we can only hope there’s someone out there with an answer to this national epidemic.
The research, conducted by Champneys health spa, revealed that the key reasons for poor sleep quality are irregular sleeping patterns, stress, not having time to ‘switch off’ and thinking about work before bed.
Oh, it seems there is – a health spa, paying for a glorified advert in the Daily Mail, no less.
