Two centuries on from Pride and Prejudice women still dream of their Mr Darcy, but they want him for love not money.
Most people believe that love is central to a happy relationship, a new survey has found, with 86 per cent saying that it comes above money as the most important reason to tie the knot.
A further 46 per cent believe that there is a “Mr or Mrs Right” for everyone, according to a YouGov poll seen by the Times.
