“Women are happier than men!” says bingo company selling ‘happiness’ to women
Sorry guys! Women are happier than men – but they just won’t admit it…
Women are the happier of the sexes, according to new figures.
The research shows that women rate their happiness as an average of 7.01 out of 10 compared to just 6.73 out of 10 for men. Almost one in five (18 per cent) say they are a nine or 10 out of 10 in terms of happiness.
More women (71 per cent) also report being ‘happy more often than not’ compared to men, for which the figure drops to 68 per cent.
Bad news for men, then, as it seems they’re consigned to a lifetime of being miserable in comparison to their female counterparts – or at least that’s what you’re meant to believe, if you pay attention to the results of this survey. But who paid for the survey?
‘Despite claiming they’re the happier of the sexes, it’s interesting that men are actually lower on the happiness scale,’ says a spokesperson for twolittlefleas.co.uk, who conducted the research celebrating the launch of their happiness generator.
‘On the contrary, women report being happier whilst believing their male counterparts are of a sunnier disposition.
‘Perhaps this discrepancy lies in the fact that women are more likely to be concerned with the behaviour of others, and perhaps us men have something to learn – maybe we should all focus a little less on what makes us happy and little more on how to make other people smile,’ they said.
Twolittlefleas.co.uk, for those who haven’t heard of them, are an online bingo website targeting female customers. They’ve launched their ‘Happiness Generator’ – a cynical ploy to ‘go viral’ on social media through the use of cute animal photos, in order to promote their gambling website to women.
